as another planet… but just as I remembered from the last visit. When you arrive on top of “Le col de l’Izoard” from Briançon, keep the mountain path on the left in mind.  Just take it, as almost nobody takes it, and wonder away on a different planet. Go all the way till you think you see the Moon, from there on you are half way on the path to Mars. Sit down and enjoy the silence, the occasional people and marvel at the landscape till time disappears…

La Beauté

Je suis belle, ô mortels! comme un rêve de pierre,

Et mon sein, où chacun s’est meurtri tour à tour,

Est fait pour inspirer au poète un amour

Eternel et muet ainsi que la matière.

Je trône dans l’azur comme un sphinx incompris;

J’unis un coeur de neige à la blancheur des cygnes;

at Ward Vanassche’s wine degustation. Went in walking right up, came out seeing the world a little different. But it was a great discovery… not only in a familiar way… it was just one big family, and I happen to know some of them. It was great to see them again after a few years of silence. More of that please.
